Bringing England to Russia, Southgate was rewarded by FA

The FA awarded Gareth Southgate £ 250,000 after he led the group to the top of Group F and had a direct ticket to Russia next summer.

In a series of World Cup qualifiers last night, England beat Slovenia with a 1-0 score thanks to striker striker Harry Kane in the final minutes of the match. Victory led the team to the top of Group F and was sure to have tickets for the 2018 World Cup in Russia next year.

According to Mirror, with excellent achievements to help England into the 2018 World Cup finals, coach Gareth Southgate has been awarded the Football Association (FA) 250,000 pounds. The 47-year-old will be offered the same amount of money to help England qualify for the next round of World Cup qualifiers.

This is a great reward for Southgate's efforts and contribution to England. Having won nine World Cup qualifiers in 2018, the three have lost none of them, including seven wins and two draws. It is clearly an impressive achievement for a young coach for the first time to lead the national team.

Gareth Southgate formally headed England on 27 September, 2016 after the FA sacked Sam Allardyce. In the 11 games that led to Southgate, Southgate lost only two friendly games (against Germany and France).

In England, Gareth Southgate is enjoying a salary of £ 3million a year, much higher than he had earned when he led the England Under-21s (£ 500,000 a year). Thus, the £ 250,000 bonus is likely to be higher than the 47-year-old's previous earnings.

Gareth Southgate still has one more match with Lithuania in the 2018 World Cup qualifier. The match is meant to be but the former Middlesbrough boss is determined to finish the qualifying campaign with an unbeaten run.

This is the 15th time England have won their World Cup finals and also their sixth straight since 1998. In the past, the Three Masters have won only once (1966). Since then, the best performance of the FIFA World Player of the Year has been Rank 4 (in 1990).
