Lindegaard suddenly returned to the Premier League

Former goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has suddenly returned to the Premier League after signing for Burnley last season.

Lindegaard, 33, is unemployed before being signed to Burnley by the end of the season.

Last season, Lindegaard played for Preston, before being liquidated at the end of the season.

In the peak stages of his career, Lindegaard was at Man Utd and was in competition with De Gea. The Danish goalkeeper made 29 total appearances for the Red Devils before moving to West Brom in 2015 in free form.

In West Brom, Lindegaard could not beat Ben Foster and had to move down to the Preston Premiership. Despite this, he continued to disappoint and fell into unemployment last summer.

In fact, Lindegaard was only signed by Burnley after the club's first goalkeeper, Tom Heaton, suffered a severe shoulder injury and had to be off for at least four months.

Turf Moor, the opportunity for Lindegaard to start is also very low when goalkeeper Nick Pope is showing very impressive performance. Lindegaard himself is well aware of his position and role in Burnley.

The Danish keeper said: "I am here to strengthen the competition for the goalkeepers and we will see what happens."
