Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd: Mourinho's bus

Contrary to expectations and expectations of the crowd, Jose Mourinho still use the defensive tactics to earn a point against Liverpool at Anfield.

Man Utd suddenly lost center-backs Eric Bailly because of injury while Rashford also suffered minor pain and had to sit down for Martial. Mourinho used the 4-2-3-1 scheme but the manager was quite strange, with Darmian kicking the left back while Young kicked the right winger. On Liverpool side, Jurgen Klopp did not have any significant injury outside of Sadio Mane's injury and the German coach still uses the familiar 4-3-3 scheme.

With home advantage, Liverpool overwhelmed the attack from the start. Meanwhile, Man Utd clearly visible fast counter-attack defense with the focus of many players to participate in defense. The opposite approach of the two teams has created a dominant game for Liverpool. Despite the dense defense of the visitors, The Reds still create situations quite dangerous.

Liverpool's attack focused primarily on Salah's wing. The speed and the slamming of the Egyptian star created a lot of space for the teammates, though, the shots of Wijnaldum or Firmino have not produced results.

Liverpool's near-unspectacular attack on the 30th minute saw the Liverpool goalkeeper go wide. However, Matip could not beat De Gea at close range. Soon after, Salah hit the ball quickly but deviate the goal.

The speed of the game was pushed up high at the end of the first half and Man Utd almost scored the opening goal after a beautiful combination of three sets Martial, Mkhitaryan and Lukaku. However, the final shot of Lukaku is too gentle and can not pass Mignolet. 0-0 is also the score of the first half.

In the second half, the situation on the pitch did not change when the United still focus on defense, giving Liverpool the attack. Man Utd's tactics almost came to a head in the 56th minute when central defenders Emre Can left the area. Fortunately for the visiting team when the German midfielder scores so bad when the goal of De Gea expanded in front.

It was also the best chance that Liverpool had in the second half. The more the game went, the more they got stuck in front of the players and disciplined. Even Coutinho and Salah could not produce significant mutations.

In the 79th minute, Klopp was forced to replace both Coutinho and Salah in order to renew their attacking squad with Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sturridge. Even so, this change does not do much for Oxlade-Chamberlain.

On the 87th, Liverpool used the change of people by throwing Solanke to replace Firmino but the United players still stand firm. Mourinho made it clear that he was aiming for a point at Anfield as Lindelof came on for Young. The final result was the same for the second successive 0-0 draw at the rivalry.
