Lukaku missed the match because of injury

Romelu Lukaku will miss the match between Belgium and Bosnia-Herzegovina this weekend because of injury.

The possibility of Lukaku's appearance has been suspected since before the Belgian medical department determined he had an ankle problem. It was a painful 24-year-old striker who played for United at Crystal Palace last weekend.

On the verge of the match against the Palace, the British media reported that Lukaku had suffered pain during training. However, the striker is still playing the full 90 minutes and scored a goal at the end of the match.

But right after that, Lukaku could not train with the Belgian team. The latest tests show that Man Utd striker has no serious injury but he certainly can not play against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday night.

Belgian national coach Roberto Matinez has confirmed the information. However, he also said Lukaku can recover for the final match of the 2018 World Cup qualifier, meet Cyprus on the weekend after.

The absence of Lukaku is not a significant issue for Belgium at the moment as they soon get tickets to Russia next summer. In the present circumstances, the new Utd are really worried about Lukaku.

Mourinho is keen on Lukaku to take a break against Cyprus because, after a few days, they will have an important Premier League clash with Liverpool.

This season, Lukaku is the main striker of Man Utd when scored 11 goals after 10 games played.
